This conversation went pretty well. The Spanish is becoming easier to me to learn now and I am much more comfortable with my pronucuation and speed. I feel like our script could have been longer ecause I'm not satisfied with our time. We got 2 and half minutes but the entire time our conversation was back and forth and filled with a lot of content and not just one worded answers. I feel like we could have asked extra questions to add time because we were overall really comfortable with how we were doing. My partner, Sevda, and I worked really well together and we even added a lot of emotion into our conversation to make it more interesting. We both learned our script really well and I'm really glad she was my partner this time around.

This week we stepped it up for our Spanish conversations. Instead of talking about our favorite restaurants and what we did over the weekend we talked about politics. My partner and I specifically addressed the controversial topic of abortion. We both had differing opinions about it and I feel this made our partnership stronger, we were both respectful of each other and our conversation was really professional and I'm really proud of what we've done.
Leading up to the final conversation I was really nervous because since Elizabeth is already a Spanish speaker I didn't want to mess up my lines or make her to feel like she was carrying the conversation. Also, our lines were long and less simplistic than in any other video I've done so I had a big task ahead of me. In the end, we got through the conversation without any hiccups and I'm really happy with our work. Click here to view our video. |
