Global politics and history are one of my greatest passions. Everything about it interests me so it seemed like the obvious choice for me to join MUN. In 7th grade I was dragged into a school wide conference the club puts on every year and that's what originally inspired me to join once I got in high school. After participating in many conferences as first a delegate, then crisis team member, legal, and finally chair, I worked my way up to a leadership position in the club. I am now Under Secretary General of External Affairs.

When I joined the volleyball team in Freshman year I was deeply surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I'm not one for sports or exersize but when I play volleyball it feels like I'm in a whole different world. I love the close knit environment and how it allows me to form a deeper bond with the girls on my team. Similar to MUN, I started at the bottom on the JV team and worked my way up to Varsity by Sophomore year. |
In 10th grade I had the greatest opportunity to lead a semester long class project about teen mental health and suicide awarness. If you would like to learn more about what we did, click here. Learning so much about this real-world, serious issue I wanted to continue the essence of our project by creating a club affiliated with the mental health organization, NAMI.
