A Kindercone (also known as a Schultüte) is a tradition in Germany dating back almost 200 years where children entering kindergarten receive decorative paper cones filled with school supplies, treats, and toys to warmly welcome them into the next stage of their lives. My 9th grade team researched, designed, constructed, and filled our own cones with school supplies and treats all within our first week of high school. Evan, the kindergartener that received a Kindercone from me was especially excited to find fruit gummies in his cone, never having heard of them before. Below, you will see that I photo documented our progress.
