Zero landfill project
The objective of The Zero Landfill Project is to make the High Tech Village North County completely landfill-free. Our mission is to change the mindsets and habits of our fellow High Techers. 95% of all the trash we produce at lunch could have been recycled but it is thrown in the dumpster and sent to the landfill because students find it too inconvenient to throw their waste in the right bin. My team and I have set out to fix this.
Sifting through trash
The perfect way to start off this project is to leave a huge impression on the students' minds. What better way to do that then to make us sift through the trash we produce at lunch? Here are some pictures of the experience:
